Corvette Racing tops practice 1 at CTMP as Pfaff Motorsports is four tenths behind
GTD class separated by 1.2s within the 14 cars field.
Under sunny sky, the first practice for the Chevrolet Grand Prix at CTMP may be a sign of what is to come tomorrow for qualifying as the GTD Pro class with its nice cars were separated by only four tenths of a second between first and fifth place.
Corvette Racing came out on top with a time of 1:16.724 followed by #14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 (1:16.744) and #23 Heart of Racing Team Aston Martin Vantage GT3 (1:16.925) in third.
Pfaff Motorsports finished fifth in the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) with 1:17.128.
The GTD class is as competitive within their 14 cars as #12 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 scored the fastest lap with 1:16.558. Second was #60 Inception Racing McLaren 720S GT3 EVO (1:16.670) and third was #96 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 (1:16.762).

Roman De Angelis and Heart of Racing #27 placed ninth with their Aston Martin Vantage GT3 (1:17.088) and Mik Grenier in the #32 Team Korthoff Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 (1:17.769) 14th.
Second practice session is scheduled for 8am Saturday morning with qualifying set for 12:45pm.
