Three Practice Sessions In The Book For Teams And Drivers At Sebring

TWO DAYTIME PRACTICE AND ONE EVENING PRACTICE HAVE BEEN COMPLETED WITH TEAMS PREPARING FOR THE 70TH ANNUAL MOBIL 1 TWELVE HOURS OF SEBRING
The fastest time of the day went to Pipo Derani in the no. 31 Whelen Engineering Racing in the first session with a time of 1:45.750. Mike Rockenfeller followed in second place with a 1:46.126 achieved in practice 2 and third is Sébastien Bourdais with Cadillac Racing with 1:46.180 in the third session(evening, NDLR).
In LMP3, it was business as usual for AWA Racing preparing their no. 13 Duqueine D08 and Kuno Wittmer set the fastest lap for the team at 1:59.675 good for ninth place.

In GTD PRO, 2022 Rolex 24 GTD PRO winners Pfaff Motorsports ended their day with the sixth fastest time with 2:01.300 set by Matt Campbell. The other Canadian representation in GTD PRO is with Kyle Marcelli driving for Racers Edge Motorsports with WTR in the Acura NSX GT3. The team had not run much in the first session and their fastest time of the day came in the evening session with 2:01.913 which places them ninth in GTD PRO.
In the GTD class, Wright Motorsports with whom Zach Robichon will be driving set the fifth fastest time(2:01.404). Daniel Morad set the fastest time for Alegra Motorsports with 2:01.805 set in the first session. And as for Roman De Angelis and The Heart of Racing, we tend to get accustomed to seeing them at the tail end of the timesheets in practice bur then climbing their way up when it counts. They set their fastest lap in the first session with a 2:03.455.
Their will be a fourth session Friday morning although we might as well call it a warm-up session as it is only 15 minutes. It will then be followed shortly after by the qualifying session for grid and points.
