Race 2 Asian Le Mans Series GT P/A Class Win To SPS Automotive Performance And Mikaël Grenier

A PERFECT WEEKEND FOR THE SPS AUTOMOTIVE PERFORMANCE TEAM WITH TWO CLASS WINS AS THE SERIES MOVES TO ABU DHABI NEXT WEEK FOR ROUNDS 3 AND 4
The no. 20 SPS Automotive Performance Mercedes AMG GT3 of Valentin Pierburg, John Loggie, Mikael Grenier started Race 2 from ninth place on the grid today in Dubai.
John Loggie took the first stint and delivered consistent lap times throughout and brought the car in occupying first place in the GT P/A class, having passed the no. 57 Kessel Racing of Roman Ziemian/Francesco Zollo/Axcil Jefferies to take the class lead.
Valentin Pierburg took over driving duties for the second hour of the race holding on to the lead for Mikaël Grenier to then take over the Mercedes AMG GT3 for the remaining two hours or so of racing.
Grenier continued where he had left off on Saturday with competitive laptimes and crossed the finish line in 12th place in the GT class and most importantly first in the GT P/A class for the team’ second win in a row.
The team, occupying first place in the GT P/A standings, will now move to Abu Dhabi for next weekend’s third and fourth round of the Asian Le Mans Series to take place on the 19th and 20th of February.
