Roar – Michelin Pilot Challenge Friday Practice Robert Wickens seventh out of the 20 drivers in TCR
FIRST TWO PRACTICE SESSIONS COMPLETED WITH TWO MORE FOR SATURDAY
Even though we can’t read much into the lap times from the first day as everyone is running there own program, Robert Wickens has to feel great about his first outing in the Hyundai Elantra N TCR with Bryan Herta Autosport w/ Curb Agajanian at Daytona International Speedway.
He ended the day with the fastest time(2:01.021) of all the Hyundai and seventh in class out of 20 drivers that have registered a lap time.
His teammate, Mark Wilkins, was just over one tenth behind.
Fastest lap in the TCR class went to Chris Miller of Unitronic JDC-Miller MotorSports Audi RS3 LMS SEQ with a time of 1:59.459.

In the GS class, the fastest time went to Tyler McQuarrie with CarBahn with Peregrine Racing Porsche 718 GT4 RS CS(1:53.433).
The debut of JG Wentworth Racing by Infinity Autosport with its Toyota Supra GT4 has been quiet but ultimately this is really the first time they have to work extensively on the car following a brief shakedown at Sebring earlier this week. Jeff Segal is shown as teammate to Sheena Monk and he registered the fastest lap for the team with a 1:55.886.
You can find the results for the combined session with the fastest lap form the drivers by class here.
Two practice sessions tomorrow scheduled for 8:45am and 4:50pm.
