Sebring Hour 8: Leaders complete round of pitstops – Laurens Vanthoor leads GTD
PFAFF COMING OUT AHEAD OF #1 PAUL MILLER LAMBORGHINI WITH A GREAT PITSTOP – ROMAN DE ANGELIS 4TH
With four hours to go, all is still possible in GTD. The last hour saw Lars Kern staying behind the #1 Paul Miller Lamborghini for the entire stint as Kern kept most of the time a gap of less than a second.
The Lamborghini was first to go into the pits for service and driver change as did The Heart of Racing although De Angelis stayed in the car for another stint.
Lars Kern came into the pits a lap later and Laurens Vanthoor took over the driving duties. Flawless work from the Pfaff crew and solid out lap from Vanthoor to allow the Plaid Porsche to get ahead of the Lamborghini Huracan once the pitstop round was completed for all in GTD.
Third is the #14 Lexus RC F GT3 with Jack Hawksworth at the wheel and Roman De Angelis solid drive in the Aston Martin is in fourth place.
Maro Engel is still at the wheel of the #75 Mercedes AMG GT3 and still pushing hard. They might be three laps down but Engel is in the lead for the Endurance Championship and they will keep pushing to the end. They are still in ninth place.
