Sebring Hour 10: Pfaff Motorsports in GTD lead as Wright Motorsports gets drive thru penalty
FULL COURSE YELLOW BROUGHT EVERYONE TOGETHER AND PFAFF MOTORSPORTS CREW COMPLETING STELLAR WORK FOR THE TEAM DURING PITSTOPS
A major incident at the exit of corner 1 brought the full course yellow that prompted teams to dive into the pits when they opened to complete servicing and driver change if needed.
Zach Robichon stayed in the Pfaff Porsche as the crew proceeded to complete another excellent pit stop to allow Robichon out before the Wright Motorsports car.
As the race resumed, transmission issues terminated the hopes of the Paul Miller Lamborghini team and a penalty for too many crew members over the wall gave the Wright Motorsports a drive thru penalty. At the time, the #16 was within a second of Robichon in second place.
The full course yellow also gave a chance to SunEnergy 1 Racing to gain a lap and were now sitting only one lap down. Mikaël Grenier has been driving very aggressively into the night drive and scored some very quick lap time, equalizing the times form the lead cars. He also set his and the teams fastest race time in the process. They were shown in seventh place.
Heart of Racing is shown in fourth place.
