Orey Fidani qualifies second for AWA Racing in Michelin Pilot Challenge at Sebring
MOTORSPORT IN ACTION TO START SIXTH – JAMES VANCE WITH FAST MD RACING NINTH – MARK WILKINS TO START EIGHT IN TCR
Teams and drivers are back in action this weekend at Sebring International Raceway for a 2-hour Alan Jay Automotive Network 120 race to be held tomorrow afternoon.
Qualifying took place this afternoon as teams had two practice sessions prior to it. And in the first practice session held yesterday, AWA Racing was in good form with Kuno Wittmer setting the fastest time of the session.
Orey Fidani had the task to qualify the McLaren 570S GT4 and managed to lap the 3.74 miles track in a time of 2:12.313. His time was 0.230s faster than third place finisher Alan Brynjolfsson in the VOLT Racing with Archangel Aston Martin Vantage GT4 (2:12.543).
The pole went to Maxwell Root with a flying lap of 2:11.322 at the wheel of Wright Motorsports Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport.
Motorsport In Action concluded the session in sixth place with Sheena Monk setting a time of 2:12.710 in the McLaren 570S GT4 and James Vance’s FAST MD Racing teammate Alex Papadopulos qualified their Audi R8 GT3 in ninth place (2:13.321).

Bryan Herta Autosport w/ Curb-Agajanian new Hyundai Elantra N TCR no. 33 of Mark Wilkins/Harry Gottsacker qualified in eight place for tomorrow’s race with a time of 2:16.354 set by Gottsacker.
TCR Pole went to B. Henderson/R. Noaker in the #84 Atlanta Speedwerks Honda Civic FK7 TCR with 2:14.806. Second place went to T. Maxson/T. Gonzalez driving COPELAND MOTORSPORTS Hyundai Veloster N TCR (2:14.952) and third was M. LaMarra/M. Pombo in LA Honda World Racing Honda Civic FK7 TCR (2:15.512).
