AIM Autosport To Join Newly Announced Canadian SportsCar Series With Toyota Supra GT4
AIM AUTOSPORT TURNING ITS ATTENTION TO COMPETING IN CANADA FOLLOWING THE END OF ASSOCIATION WITH VASSER-SULLIVAN
To Canadian Racers News’ knowledge, AIM Autosport is the first team to publicly confirmed their intention to race in this new Canadian SportsCar Series.
Seen in IMSA WeatherTech SporstCar Championship in the GTD class with two Lexus RC F in association with Vasser-Sullivan over the last couple of season and enjoying successful results, AIM Autosport is continuing its relationship with Toyota Racing Development.
“All of us at AIM are looking forward to getting our hands on the new Supra GT4 in early April and competing in this exciting new series announced by FEL,”said AIM Team Principal IanWillis. “We can’t wait for the season to start and we are committed to being an active part in its growth and success.”
For the moment, AIM Autosport is to enter one Toyota Supra GT4. The team is exploring the possibilities to enter an additional two Toyota Supra GT4 in the first season.
Long time Canadian racer and FEL President Chris Bye is behind this SportsCar Series who has yet to announced its definite series Title name awaiting confirmation with possible series partners. Already, we hear there might be as many as 18-20 cars to compete in the first season. There is to be a mix of GT4 and TCR cars.
