41 cars confirmed for IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge BMW Endurance Challenge at Daytona
THREE ADDITIONAL TCR ENTRIES FOR THE FIRST RACE OF THE SEASON
As predicted by Bryan Herta Autosport’s driver Mark Wilkins, the TCR grid will now consist of 16 confirmed cars battling it out for the 4-hour race on Friday.
Four manufacturers will be represented. Only one Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR is entered, two Hyundai Elantra N TCR, three Audi RS3 LMS DSG, four Honda Civic FK7 TCR and six Hyundai Veloster N TCR.
A 17th entry, AOA Racing, listed on the roaster has yet to confirm drivers but apparently is to enter an Audi RS3 LMS DSG.
The GS class has 25 cars confirmed for the season opener divided in one Toyota Supra GT4, two McLaren 570S GT4, two Aston Martin Vantage GT4, two Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport, two Ford Mustang GT4, three Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R, three Audi R8 GT4, four Mercedes-AMG GT GT4 and five BMW M4 GT4. One team, Notlad Racing by RS1, as yet to confirm the car they are to run.
That make a total of nine manufacturers represented in the GS class. Looking back at the timesheets from the Roar, it looks like it will be a hard fought battle for a podium finish come race day.
