New CANADIAN SPORTS CAR SERIES announced for 2021 season
FEL PRESIDENT CHRIS BYE ANNOUNCED TODAY THE BIRTH OF A NEW SPORTS CAR SERIES WITH A TENTATIVE SIX RACE WEEKENDS SCHEDULED
Long time motorsport enthusiast and promoter of talents, FEL president Chris Bye can finally confirm what he has been working on for some time: “The support from the racing community has been truly awesome. We hadn’t planned on making the announcement until February but the swell of support including 18 paid registration deposits made it clear that we are going in the right direction. It’s time to get busy, we have a lot to do.”
FEL has a “Tentative” 2021 schedule in place. This schedule will remain tentative with dates firming up as the current COVID situation allows. Each weekend will consist of 2 – 40 / 45 minute sprint races.
Tentative 2021 Schedule
May 21, 22, 23 – Victoria Day Sprints – Canadian Tire Motorsport Park
July 16, 17, 18 – TBC
August 6, 7, 8 – Calabogie Motorsports Park
August 27, 28, 29 – ICAR Mirabel
October 1, 2, 3 – Celebration of Speed – Canadian Tire Motorsport Park
+ One additional weekend TBD
Yet to be announced are series sponsors as FEL is finalizing commitments with interested parties.
