2 out of 3 for Jeff Kingsley at Road Atlanta Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge US
SUCCESSFUL WEEKEND WITH TWO WINS AND A SECOND PLACE EXTENDING HIS LEAD IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP WITH 4 RACES TO GO
Ben Kingsley was back at the wheel of the Kelly-Moss Road and Race Porsche GT3 Cup car over the weekend at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta with 3 races to the schedule.
Having qualified in fourth place for Race 1, Kingsley worked his way to second place behind Championship rival Riley Dickinson. A late full course yellow bunch up the field and after the restart Dickinson was able to maintain his position and crossed the line 0.435s ahead of Kingsley.
For Race 2, Kingsley occupied the outside front row and was able to challenge Riley Dickinson for the lead early on. Building a gap to second place Dickinson, Kingsley crossed the finish line with a five second lead for his first victory of the weekend.
At the start of Race 3, Kingsley was in command having started form pole again against Riley Dickinson. Keeping his cool throughout the race, Jeff Kingsley held a five second lead at the finish line to score his second victory of the weekend.
With four races to go, Kingsley (408 points) leads Dickinson (383 points) by 25 points. There next battle will be in the streets of St. Petersburgh (FL) on October 23-25. The final race to the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge US by Yokohama will be at Sebring during the Mobil 1 12 hours of Sebring on November 11-14.
