A must watch: ‘ENDURANCE’ a Porsche documentary
A BEHIND THE SCENE LOOK AT PORSCHE’S 2019 EFFORT IN BACK TO BACK RACES AT 24 HOURS OF LE MANS AND 24 HOURS OF THE NURBURGRING
Canadian Racers News just completed watching the documentary which follows the highs and lows of two very difficult endurance events, focusing on factory drivers Kévin Estre, Michael Christensen, Laurens Vanthoor and Matt Campbell as well as Pascal Zurlinden, Director Factory Motorsport and race engineer Luca Massé.
Rarely do both races are presented on back to back weekends like it was in 2019. This documentary takes a look, not only at Porsche with its GT factory team effort but also at customer teams competing at the highest level.
It’s definitely giving the viewer a very good overview of what goes on in the garage during these events. From the preparation of the cars through testing to the mental preparation of the drivers as they are getting ready to embark on a difficult task to bring home the victory and mechanics readily available to react to car issues that need to be dealt with in the shortest time to keep the car in contention.
Great on-track footage can be seen from both Le Mans and Nurburgring although the emotional roller coaster is most interesting listening to drivers’ reactions when either great performance or setbacks occurred.
Makes you want to be there next time!
Available to stream now on YouTube and from April 3rd on Amazon Prime (subscription required).
