IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge to have a 49 cars field for Daytona
NINE CANADIAN DRIVERS AND AND THREE TEAMS TO COMPETE AMONGST THE GS AND TCR CLASS
IMSA revealed the entry list for the BMW Endurance Challenge at Daytona, a four hour endurance race, on January 24th.
The GS class shows 31 entries with #13 McLaren 570 S AWA Racing with Kuno Wittmer/Orey Fidani and Mutimatic Motorsports with three Ford Mustang GT4 (#19 being driven by Scott Maxwell/Marco Signoretti). Kyle Marcelli is also shown as driving for KoHr Motorsports but the team has yet to confirm the car manufacturer.
In the TCR class, we will see Mark Wilkins defending his championship with new co-driver Harry Gottsacker driving the #21 Hyundai Veloster N TCR for Bryan Herta Autopsport w/ Curb Agajanian. James Vance is listed to drive the #23 Fast MD Audi RS3 LMS TCR and new comer to the series #81 TWOth Autosport / Bestline AutoTech Team with drivers Travis Hill/Ron Tomlinson.
The action starts on Wednesday afternoon(Jan. 22) with a one hour practice followed by additional practice and qualifying on Thursday to set the starting grid for the 4-hour race on Friday afternoon.
