Canadian company FEL to continue sponsorship of IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge driver James Vance
DRIVING FOR THE SPEED SYNDICATE TEAM AUDI RS3 TCR, VANCE CUMULATED ONE WIN AND THREE PODIUM DURING THE 2019 SEASON.
Located in St. Catherines, Ontario and with sales offices in Toronto and Detroit, FEL is a learning and promotion company serving the automotive sector since 1986. The company announced it is to support James Vance as he pursues the 2020 IMSA Pilot Challenge Championship in the number 23 FAST MD sponsored Speed Syndicate Audi RS3 TCR car.
“FEL has been supporting James for the past three yeas and it has been fun watching him grow in the sport,” said FEL President Chris Bye. “James does a great job both in and out of the race car and understands the importance of both. 2019 saw James on the top step of the podium at VIR as well as several podiums throughout the year. We are looking forward to riding along the #23 Audi RS3 TCR car again in 2020 and build on the success of 2019.”
FEL, who also announced their continuing support of IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Pfaff Motorsports GTD team, supports Canadian race drivers and teams to keep us close to our roots while seeing what’s new in automotive technology.
This will be James Vance’s second season with Speed Syndicates FAST MD Audi RS3 TCR car. He started off last season with an impressive third place at Daytona International Speedway and will surely look to better that result in a couple of weeks time with new co-driver Max Faulkner as both drivers are looking forward to putting the Fast MD Audi in contention for the championship.
James Vance: “I am so excited to be partnered with FEL Drives for the 3rd season in a row of professional on track competition, and second in a row in IMSA. FEL are a leader of their field, Chris Bye and his St. Catherine’s based team have built an automotive marketing powerhouse and I look to be able to put them at the front of the field this year in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Championship with FASTMD Racing and our #23 Audi RS3 TCR car. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without our partners. So a massive thank you to the FEL organization for putting their faith in us. Let’s go racing! ”
