Pfaff Motorsports to start from fourth place for tomorrow’s race at Laguna Seca
SESSION INTERRUPTED BY A RED FLAG AS #73 PARK PLACE MOTORSPORTS PORSCHE 911 GT3 R HIT THE BARRIER HARD
In the early stages of qualifying we initially saw Compass racing’s Matt Plumb at the top of the running order but soon after dropped down to fifth as Meyer Shank Racing’s Trent Hindman, Scuderia Corse’s Cooper MacNeil, Pfaff Motorsports’ Zach Robichon and Turner Motorsports’ Robby Foley went faster on their run.
The session was then interrupted when Patrick Lindsey went off track damaging the Park Place Motorsports’ Porsche extensively. Team were in the unknown as Series official were debating if they were to continue the session. The green flag was then waved giving drivers less than four minutes to better their time.
In a last effort, Corey Lewis put the Paul Miller Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 on pole which means Pfaff Motrosports will start in fourth and Compass Racing in sixth.
As for AIM Vasser Sullivan, the red flag did not help their strategy with #14 of Heistand/Hawksworth will start in ninth and #12 Montecalvo/Bell.
The race will be presented tomorrow live on NBC Network at 3pm Eastern time. Not certain it applies to Canada but worth tuning in and see.
