Front row for Mikaël Grenier and Emil Frey Racing at Silverstone
ROUND 5 OF THE INTERNATIONAL GT OPEN AT SILVERSTONE; FIRST RACE IN TWO MONTHS
Canadian Mikaël Grenier is back at the wheel of Emil Frey Racing’s Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO after a two month break for the International GT Open Championship.
Although Mikaël kept himself busy by successfully competing and winning the silver class of the Intercontinental GT Challenge 10hrs of Suzuka.
Yesterday had FP1 and FP2 taken place and the combined result saw the duo of Grenier/Siedler finishing in seventh place. The sister car three tenths ahead in third.
A new qualifying system was applied today which determines grid position on the basis of the average of the best lap of each driver.
With this, Mikaël Grenier and Norbert Siedler drove their Emil Frey Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO to second place while their teammate, championship co-leaders Giacomo Altoè and Albert Costa, took pole for Race 1.
The 70 minutes Race 1 will start at 4:15pm local time.
