Canadian racer Gary Klutt to compete in NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at CTMP
MAKES IT FOR A BUSY WEEKEND AS HE IS TO COMPETE IN NASCAR PINTY’S SERIES AS WELL DURING THIS WEEKEND’S CHEVROLET SILVERADO 250 AT CANADIAN TIRE MOTORSPORT PARK
Niece Motorsports announced that Canada native Gary Klutt will make his third NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series start on August 25th at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP).
Klutt is currently running a limited schedule driving in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series (NPS), with a strong showing of a new lap record, pole position and a third-place finish in the Series’ season-opener this year at CTMP.
Color Compass Corporation(is a private automotive distribution group, currently specializing in the supply of collision repair products and industry specific collision repair training throughout Canada) will return to the hood of Klutt’s Silverado this year, along with Insat-Insulation, MIRKA, Struyk Energy Systems, Middleport Mechanical, Insulthane, and Oshweken Speedway, who will partner with Klutt’s effort for the only NASCAR National series race in Canada.
“This has been my favorite race weekend of the year, since the Truck Series started coming up and running here,” smiled Klutt. “The trucks have taken a couple of outings for me to really get the hang of, the differences being, radial tires, truck arm suspension, and better aero. These trucks feel quite a bit different than our Pinty’s cars, so I’m anxious to get out for the first practice session and get up to speed. I’m excited to be working with Niece Motorsports and crew chief Kevin Eagle. I think that we have a good shot at this race. I feel that as I mature, I just keep learning this track and how to extract speed from it. I think that really showed this spring here at CTMP.”

First practice session get underway at 9:35am Saturday morning with a second practice session at 11:35am. Qualifying is to take place Sunday morning at 9:35 followed by the 64 laps race at 2:30pm.
In between NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, Klutt is to drive the Pinty’s series entry with practice and qualifying set for Saturday afternoon and the race set for Sunday morning 11:05.
