It is all about GT Racing for IMSA WeatherTech at Lime Rock
THE DPI TEAMS GET A BREAK AS ONLY GTLM AND GTD ARE ON TRACK THIS WEEKEND.
All three practices took place today at Lime Rock for IMSA WeatherTech as qualifying and the race is scheduled for Saturday.
In all three practice sessions, times were extremely competitive on the short Lime Rock Park circuit with less than a second separated the teams either class.
The final practice took place late afternoon and in the GTLM class Porsche Motorsport scored a 1-2 with the #911 of Tandy/Pilet ahead of the sister car of Bamber/Vanthoor by 0.156s and in third the #67 Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GT of Briscoe/Westbrook half a second behind.
In the GTD class, our Canadian representative Pfaff Motorsports with Dennis Olsen/Zach Robichon were 0.213s off the best time set by Sellers/Lewis in there Paul Miller Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 which was good enough for fourth place. AIM Vasser Sullivan finished eight with #14 and 11th with #12. Compass Racing McLaren 720S GT3 with drivers Paul Holton and Matt Plumb were 12th fastest.
Qualifying session for the GTD class is scheduled for 9:35 Saturday morning followed by the GTLM class at 10:00.
