LESS THAN A MONTH TO GO FOR OUR CANADIANS TO BE BACK IN ACTION AT SEBRING INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY
It’s going to be a very busy weekend at Sebring International Raceway, March 13-16, with two major events. The FIA World Endurance Championship(WEC) will be sharing the track with IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The WEC 1000 Miles of Sebring race will be held Friday and the 67th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Presented by Advance Auto Parts on Saturday.
Aaron Povoledo will be back at the wheel of Conquest Racing No. 25 LMP3 as IMSA Prototype Challenge kicks off the SuperSebring weekend on March 13th. With qualifying and the 1hour and 45 minutes race to take place Thursday the 14th. Also driving in IMSA Prototype Challenge LMP3 are Anthony Simone(Alianza/Gilbert Motorsports No. 23), Garett Grist(K2R Motorsports No. 51), Michael Chlumecky(ANSA Motorsport No.2), Cameron Casssels(Performance Tech Motorsports No. 75), Bradley Baker and Dean Baker(Performance Tech Motorsports No. 19).
Daytona winner Kuno Wittmer(Compass Racing No. 75), Scott Maxwell(Multimatic Motorsports No. 15), Kenny Wilden(KohR Motorsports No. 59), Kyle Marcelli(KohR Motorsports No. 60), Thomas Collingwood(BGB Motorsports No. 11), Orey Fidani and Scott Hargrove(AWA No. 13), Jesse Lazare(Motorsports In Action No. 69), Mark Wilkins(Bryan Herta Autosport w Curb-Agajanian No. 98) will take part in IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. Practice and qualifying to take place on Thursday and the 2 hours race on Friday.
Daniel Morad(MONTAPLAST by Land Motorsport No. 29), Scott Hargrove and Zach Robichon(Pfaff Motorsports No. 9) will be looking for a better finish following the mishaps at the Rolex 24 at Daytona as they take on Sebring in IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD class. AIM Vasser Sullivan No. 12 and 14 will surely be looking to confirm their competitiveness after their Rolex 24 at Daytona podium. Practice is scheduled for Thursday and Friday morning with qualifying also Friday morning. The Mobil 1 Sebring 12 Hours will go green on Saturday at 10:40am.
