Kuno Wittmer to start on Pole for the Michelin Pilot Challenge race
GREAT WAY TO START THE WEEKEND FOR THE MCLAREN DRIVER
In the wet conditions of the morning, the team did not record any lap times. But for the following practice sessions, the Compass Racing McLaren GT4 driver Kuno Wittmer and Paul Holton were amongst the fastest.
The qualifying session took place late this afternoon and at the end of the 15 minutes, Paul Holton registered a lap time of 1:52.143; a good eight tenth of a second clear of second place of another McLaren GT4. This one of Motorsports in Action drivers Canadian Jesse Lazare and Corey Fergus.

Needless to say Kuno was really happy with how the day went. “Starting on the front row at Daytona with McLaren and Compass Racing is a dream start to the season. All the hard work has paid off well. The team deserves to celebrate lightly this evening! Tomorrow is a big day and we will push hard for 4 hours!”.

The race will take place tomorrow, Saturday, at 12:15. Watch it on IMSA.tv.
